Yes! After starting your trip, you can easily pause your trip by tapping the “Pause trip” button in your Beam app. Your Beam will be locked and only you will be able to unlock it while it’s paused.

Do note that while a Beam is paused, you will continue to be charged the standard per-minute fee for that period.
