Group Ride is a feature that allows you to ride with your friends and family using just a single Beam account.
How to start a Group Ride
Tap the "Group ride" button found in the "Home" screen, above the "Scan QR" purple circle icon.
You will be prompted to add the name of your first guest. After this step, you can add additional guests by tapping the "+ Add rider" button.
Once you have finished adding guests, tap "Scan" beside each name to start unlocking the Beam vehicles you want to use.
After you've unlocked all the Beam vehicles you need for you and your guests, tap "Continue" to start riding!
To end the Group Ride, ensure you have parked accordingly to the rules, and click the "End trip" button to end your Group Ride.
Note all trip fees, parking fees and credits will be summed up and applied to you as the Group Ride host.
If you are a Ride Pass holder or a subscriber of one of our subscriptions, note that the benefits of the Ride Pass or subscription will apply to you, as stated in the details of the Ride Passes and subscription.
Group Ride is not available everywhere
The Group Ride feature may not be available in your city.
As mentioned above, the Group Ride button can be found in the "Home" screen, above the "Scan QR" purple circle icon. If you do not see any "Group Ride", it means the feature is currently not available in your city.
In this case, if you still wish to ride with your friends and family, each of them will be required to register a Beam account in order to start their own trip.
