Each city has its own rules and regulations for riding a Beam vehicle (such as e-scooter, and e-bike), including but not limited to the use of helmets, rideable paths or areas, and more!

What is Beam Safe Academy?

Beam Safe Academy is a comprehensive resource for you to learn everything you need to know about riding and parking responsibly in each city we operate in, presented with colorful visuals and in an easy-to-digest format.

Beam Safe Academy is also accessible via the Beam app, simply:

  1. Open the Beam app

  2. Go to "Menu"

  3. Then "Beam safe academy"


What are the basic rules I need to know?

Here are the basic rules you need to know for riding a Beam vehicle.

  1. Ensure you meet the minimum age requirement.

  2. Ride only on footpaths and shared paths (unless prohibited or specified otherwise).

  3. Always wear a helmet for safety.

  4. You are not allowed to carry any passenger.
