When riding a Beam vehicle, there are various zones you need to be aware of, as they can affect your trip by restricting the speed or use of the vehicle currently in use.

These zones are implemented based on the city requirement, as well as the feedback from the local community to curb poor behaviour, for the safety of the wider community.

Operating Zone

This is the default zone that is not coloured, it shows simply the entire operating zone that is allowed for riding. Vehicles are only deployed and available for use within this zone.

Slow Zone

"Slow Zone" is highlighted in yellow. When you enter a "Slow Zone", your vehicle will automatically reduce its top speed for safety reasons.

No Go Zone

"No Go Zone" is highlighted in grey. When you enter a "No Go Zone", your vehicle speed will be heavily restricted, and you also cannot park and end your trip within the zone. You are required to exit the zone in order to continue riding or end your trip.

Designated Parking Zone

"Designated Parking Zone" is highlighted in blue. Within "Designated Parking Zone", you are only allowed to park at parking spots marked with a "P", but still able to ride through the zone.

No Parking Zone

"No Parking Zone" is highlighted in red. Within "No Parking Zone", you will not be allowed to park and end your trip, but still able to ride through the zone.

Pay to Park Zone

"Pay to Park Zone" is highlighted in pink. You can freely ride and park in this zone, however, should you choose to end your trip in the zone, keep in mind a parking fee is associated with it.

Within these zones with parking restriction or fee, parking in a designated Beam parking spot marked with a "P" is allowed and encouraged.

If differentiating the zones by colour is confusing for you, note that if you zoom close enough into the map, there are texts labeled over each zone to tell you what they are!
