We offer several convenient payment options you can use to pay for trips with Beam, including:

The specific payment methods available may vary by region, which you can confirm in the Beam app.
How to add payment method
Simply open the Beam app.
Navigate to "Payments"
Select "Add payment method" to add a supported payment method in your region.
Kindly note that temporary charge for authentication may occur but it will be refunded back within 48 hours.
Once you have added a payment method, you are now prepared to pay for your trip whenever you ride. As long as your registered payment method has sufficient fund and is working, your trips will be paid automatically and seamlessly as you complete each trip.
How much does a trip cost, and how is it calculated?
Your trip will cost the current pricing displayed in the Beam app (which you can find at the "Home" or map screen, as well as when you select any available vehicle).
The cost is calculated when you end your trip, based on the current pricing when you begin your trip and your total trip duration. For example:
Current pricing: $1 unlock fee + $0.50/min
Total trip duration: 3 minutes 15 seconds
Final cost: $3 ($1 + $0.50 * 4 minutes)
Kindly note that your usage is calculated as soon as you start your trip, this means your usage in the within the first minute (0 second ~ 1 minute mark) counts as your first minute.
Paying with Beam Credits
For only riders in selected regions, we offer an alternative option to pay for trips with Beam Credits. You may choose to top up your account with Beam Credits by purchasing a credit pack that allocates a specified amount of Beam Credits to your account. The available Beam Credits you have in your account will be prioritised and used first to pay for the final cost of your trips.
To purchase a Credit Pack:
Open the Beam app.
Navigate to "Payments"
Select "+ Top up credits" to find and purchase your preferred credit pack.
All paid credits will have a specified expiry date for your reference before you confirm your purchase, and a payment method will still be required in order to start a trip, regardless of the availability of Beam Credits in your account.
