You may notice a fee or deposit being charged to your payment method on file after linking it to the app even when no trip was taken, and also for each trip (including your group ride guest) you take. This is only a temporary authorisation deposit used to verify your payment method.

Rest assured, these deposits will be cancelled automatically once the payment method has been verified, or adjusted to the final fare of your trip upon completion.

In the latter case, depending on your bank or payment provider, the finalized payment may take any time from a couple business days up to weeks to be reflected in your statement. During the process, you may notice some temporary amounts which might appear as a duplicated, partial, or additional charge of your trip. These may or may not be indicated with the word "Pending" or "Hold" by some banks or payment providers.

For more information on how your bank or payment provider handles authorisation fee, deposits, or holds, we encourage you to reach out to them directly.

Therefore, the final charges will only be the ones matching with the records of your "Riding history" in the Beam app.
